This is how the kids wanted to eat their sandwiches-waist deep in water observing other swimmers. I ask myself-how many handfuls of sand does this baby need to put in his mouth before he realizes that it's not good.
My dirty face biker boy Danny- They all love playing in Joey's crib!
Before jumping to conclusions, let me explain. Davy has been very curious about extra terrestrial things lately namely (Aliens, and Satan). Yesterday he was scared that aliens would come and get him because his aunt Ashley told him about Aliens. He had a million questions about them, and I didn't know whether to answer them, or just say they aren't real. I tried to answer them by saying some people think that......, but nobody knows for sure if they are even real because they don't come to visit us. Today after church, he asked if the devil was real. After I thought I explained the Satan question he had literally a hundred more. I explained the war in heaven, and why Satan would not want us to be happy. In the car ride to grandmas we played Satan likey (thumbs down for it being a bad thing, or Satan no likey-thumbs up for it being a good thing, that Jesus would like) I was surprised how well he knows right from wrong. I even tried to trick him, but he was right on. Now if he isn't minding, all I have to do is give him a thumbs down, and he changes his attitude, and does what I asked. He was afraid that Satan would come to our house, so I told him that if we are doing what's right, Heavenly Father won't let Satan's Spirit visit. His new favorite game is to make Satan mad by doing what's right. Every thing that he does he asks if Satan would like it or not (example: he and Danny were laughing while playing, and he stops and said "Mom, Satan would be mad that we are getting along, and being happy...right?" ) It was a pretty neat teaching opportunity. I just hope it sticks. Today was just a normal Sunday. Davy gave a talk in primary about temples. It helped that Ryan and I went to the temple last night so that he could talk about what we do to get ready to go to the temple. He even added in that" afterwards they picked us up from Grandmas, and we all went to dinner.....at Jaxies, I love it when my Mom and Dad go to the temple!"
Yesterday we went to a few garage sales-didn't find much, then Oaklie wanted to go to the beach, so we went up there......again (not that I'm complaining). We were supposed to go boating with some friends, but that fell through, so we went to the temple instead. Ryan's mom watched to boys, so they didn't complain about us leaving them.
Ryan went with his dad to a Glen Beck fire side at BYU tonight. I would have gone but it started at 7:00 and that is right when Joey goes down to bed. I am too paranoid about leaving my babies with a baby sitter, in fear that they will cry the whole time if whoever is watching them can't get them to sleep. I'm sure he would have been fine, but I love my kid's sleep schedule. Well, I gotta run and get ready for the busy day tomorrow.

You're such an amazing mom. I wish more than anything that we could go to the temple. I've been crying an awful lot about that lately. Maybe Bryce should play "Satan likey, Satan no likey." ;) Ah... someday.
I'm jealous of your temple trip too. I need to get in a couple more sessions before I have a newborn.
I always put my babies to bed before the babysitter arrives so I don't have to worry about them trying to do it :) Last Fall/Winter we put our kids to bed at 6:30pm constantly on the weekends so we could go out on a date. It's easier when it's dark early!
I put the beach on my calendar for Wed. morning. Hopefully we will make it.
Oh how was the Glenn Beck fireside? Scott would be jealous. :-) I have a fear about babysitters too. No one has watched our kids but family.
