This is the view from the lot we are getting
I hadn't posted in a couple of days because on Friday I wouldn't have had many positive things to say. Once in a while I like to have my own pitty party. I look at Marae and Elise's adventures and miss those times, and then I wake from my daydream, to a messy house, and whiny kids, and have to make the most of it. I can't say that if I actually had a choice that I would trade them places, but I do love adventure. I think Ryan noticed my need for a change of pace (as much as I try to hide my feelings on my pitty party days), and he didn't go to work on Saturday. He told me to go to some garage sales with my garage sale buddy Amy, and he would watch the kids. While I was gone, he went and got a trailer, and loaded our four wheelers, and we all went up to the cabin property for a day of fun and adventure. Davy whined, and cried most of the way there, when he found out that we would be driving up the mountain, and especially on four wheelers. He was sure we would go too fast, and drive right over the edge. After about an hour however, I heard Davy say several times how much fun he was having, and that he loves four wheeling. It was such a beautiful day. We drove all around the mountain and up to the little lake that is up on top of the mountain. Danny and Joey both had a good nap on the ride back to the truck. After about three hours, we loaded up the four wheelers and headed into Fairview (a tiny little town close by) for some yummy ice cream. By the end of the day, we all agreed we had a great day, and that it was even more fun than Disneyland.

Marae & I have decided:
1. You are beautiful
2. You will never need anti-aging cream
3. You have teeny bopper tendencies but are proud of your steps toward recovery
4. Danny looks like he is hiking with a helmet
5. We love you & should be more like you
hey, liz! looks like a fun day. yes, elise and i did decide that you still look 18 and are probably the hottest mom of three ever. we said a more tasteful word than hottest but i can't remember what it was.
we are doing our best to have adventures that you would be proud to live vicariously. we can't wait to see you guys...someday!
You guys are too nice. I hope you are having fun. Just to clarify. The boys are wearing bike helmets because that's what they wore on the four wheelers. They like to wear them so they didn't ask to take them off when we were hiking around. About the teeny bopper tendencies, I was serious about you nominating me for "what not to wear" I have the hardest time finding anything to wear, and I NEVER get a chance to go shopping. I have all plain colored shirts. I probably have 100 plain colored shirts. Sometimes I find a shirt I like, and buy it in every color, and then the next year i think "why did I even like this shirt?" I'll be waiting for the camera crews knocking at my door.
How did I miss you at the park? Did you see Autumn (Baldwin) there too with her kids?
I can totally relate with wanting to be free and off on an adventure and not feeling like a slave all day long to these kids who sometimes are nice and sweet - and sometimes are not.
I'm kind of happy to hear another mom struggle with a very whiny child because it has been terrible with Will these past couple years (and we all know how annoying it sounds). Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel for you because Will is finally easing up now that he is 5. A little bit :)
Your mountain lot is so gorgeous! Sam was sitting on my lap and was stoked to see the 4-wheeler pictures - and jealous of the boys sitting there.
Do you guys want to go swimming in Provo tomorrow? We always go to a pool at the condo we own. It's really nice and usually there aren't many people. There's not really a shallow end or pool for little kids though - but they love to play on the stairs and hang on the edge :) I'll call ya.
This is a really long comment!
