Jeoy mastering the stairs
Ice cream boys!!!
Today was a very rainy day. Britta and Ashlin were supposed to come down form Salt Lake to spend the day with us today, but we postponed it since it has been raining. They are going to come next Wednesday instead. I am praying for sun so I can show them our favorite water hole. By about 10:00 Davy was begging for a friend to come and play, so we Called Will and Sam, and they spent a few hours playing together. They had a lot of fun, and all played so well together. At about 2:00 we dropped them off at home, and headed into town to try to find a birthday present for Ryan (who turns 31 tomorrow) We went to Deseret Book because Ryan loves books. I had no luck finding a book that he would love, and didn't already have, while Davy and Danny enjoyed the kids section. When we left Davy said "I like that play place, we should play their again". We searched a few places, and had no luck, so after a quick stop to the Library to check out some more Star Wars movies (Davy's new obsession) then headed home to make dinner. I have no idea what to get Ryan. He buys everything that he wants himself. I can't think of one thing that he would want or need. If you have any ideas, pass them my way. He was going to take the day off so we could go four wheeling for the day, and then we were going to go shoot a couple of his new guns that he hasn't shot yet, but it is supposed to rain all day, so that may be postponed. Today was a good day. All besides our little outing, the kids were all well behaved, and there was very little whining. Oh-Joey is mastering the stairs. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but he thinks it's great. Every step that he climbs up, he turns around and smiles really big, and makes sure that I saw his great accomplishment. A few days ago the stairs were an obstacle, now they are an adventure. I guess childhood is one big adventure.

Joey's new "big boy chair"
Tuesday was my cleaning day. I did about 8 loads of laundry (I only do laundry once a week), and I made paper strips with each room in the house on them. I put them in a cup, and let Davy and Danny take turns drawing them out. I set the timer for ten minutes and we would frantically clean the room before the timer went off, and then we would move to the next room. It is nice when kids are at the young age of when you can make them think that cleaning is a game. In my cleaning, I put away all of the winter clothes, and I retired some of the baby things back down to the storage room. We traded out Joey's bulky high chair, for a smaller chair that can strap onto a regular chair. He love his new chair, and hopefully it won't scratch the floor as much as the high chair did when I pull him into the kitchen with me while I make dinner.

Liz I love your blog. Icecream sound really good right now. I need to get more details on printing out a blog. My friend gets hers printed each year in a book format. It's nice. I do keeping in touch!
My boys were sooo stoked to see pictures of themselves on your blog! Ice cream makes for some happy smiles. They both had so much fun (which is rare for Sam to say) so thanks again! You are too nice.
I am adoring your black table in the kitchen. Where in the world did you find that? Do you refinish any of your furniture? I have been trying to get into that more but have only done a couple small pieces so far. I want to do dressers for everyone. I need to make a trip to DI to see if they have anything cool.
Will you comment me your email address so I can send you an invite for my blog - because I'm setting it to private now. I have Google Analytics tracking traffic on there and I have so many unique visitors per day and don't know who is reading it since few people comment. I have my settings private so that search engines won't pick up my blog -- but I'm still freaked cuz last Dec. I found out that someone had been stalking me online for 1.5 years and stealing all my pics (most of my kids!) and blog entries and re-posting them as their own all over the place - on MySpace, parenting message boards, etc. This girl had re-named my kids and made up some stuff about Jed cheating and us getting divorced and when I found out this was going on she was telling a whole group of online friends in Texas that she was about to move back there. I was freaked out she was going to try and kidnap my kids or something. ANYWAY...
Hope Ryan is having a fabulous birthday!
Elizabeth-that sounds scary. I have wondered about strange people looking at my blog. Ryan had me erase any personal info. but day to day comments can give away a lot. How did you find out about this girl that was stealing your pictures? I'll call you with my regular email address. Oh, the black table in my kitchen was Ryan's Dads old table. It used to be white with a wood top. Ryan just painted it and distressed it. Garage sales are a way better place than DI to find dressers etc. You should come with me sometime. I usually don't buy much but it is the best place to get kids toys and books. You can't beat paying .24 cents for something that costs $20.00. I saw a cute dresser last week that would have looked so cute painted white for a girls room. It was $5.00, you can find those kind of deals all the time. I'll be on the look out for bunk beds for you.
Elizabeth- I guess you have to put the email that I use for this blog. It is lizzylouj@gmail.com I don't ever check it however. I just set it up to start the blog. Let me know if I need to check it for anything, or if I'll just be able to link over from my blog if you have the email that is connected to it. Thanks
I sent you an email invite to your email address - so I think you have to check it and accept it - and then you can view my blog when you are logged into your own blog.
I temporarily forgot Ryan works with wood - thus all the fabulous pieces of furniture in your house - doy. Well I will be asking you guys how to refinish stuff then.
Thanks for keeping your eyes open for bunkbeds for me (and dressers - I would have loved that cute one to paint white for Lydia)! Seems like people are always trying to give bunkbeds away -- until I am trying to find a set. I don't even care what they look like! I would love to go garage-saleing with you. I have never tried to look for good spots around here but would love it.
The way I found out about the stalker was from some of her online friends she talked to a lot. She had joined a Texas mommy message board posing as me and became good friends with some ladies. One day they clicked through one of my pictures and saw that it was linked to my professional photo blog on which they saw my real name, address, and phone number that I use for clients. They called me to try and figure out what was going on.
