BUSY,BUSY,DAY

Our little Huck Finn-Danny's fish

Davy and Danny cruisin'

A piece of the parade of home kitchen

Today was the Huck Finn fishing day. The boys had been looking forward to it for a while. When we woke up it was raining pretty hard, but we decided that we would still go (hey it only happens once a year). Last year they both won bikes for catching the biggest, and the smallest fish. This year Davy almost won the smallest fish prize but another little boy beat him buy 1/2 oz. Oh well, they still had a ton of fun. They both won new fishing poles from the Huck Finn look alike contest. Davy won 1st place (you gotta love the size 18 month overalls that Davy has on rolled up to look like shorts, and Danny won 2nd place (since we forgot to put his cute hat on before the judging). The kids that didn't win a prize were given a fudge bar. When Danny saw that, he threw his fishing pole down and started bawling that he didn't want to win a fishing pole, he wanted a Popsicle. It was pretty funny, so the nice man gave Danny one too. It was a very fun, and relaxing morning.
On our way home I was just saying how bad I needed a shower, when Ryan's Mom called and invited us to come to lunch with the gang at Rick's new restaurant in the new Harley building. We had been wanting to see the new building since it was almost completely built with amazing restored pieces from the big Geneva plant that was previously torn down. We rushed home, changed the kids out of their Huck Finn attire, and headed over to meet them (with my greasy hair and ing fish smell from fishy hands being wiped on me). We were very impressed with the new set up, and the boys loved seeing all of the Motorcycles. The burgers at the new restaurant (Marley's) were out of this world also!
After our bellies were full, and the kids were getting antsy we all caravaned over to the parade of homes house that Ryan did to see his kitchen. It was very nice. I can't even go and look at those nice houses or it makes me itchy for a new house, or at least a good interior designer. Ryan should generate some good business from this house since everyone that saw it was really impressed, and several people mentioned that his work was much nicer than any other house they have seen (even nicer than the 3 million dollar homes). After the home tour, Crista took Davy and Danny with her, Ryan stayed at the house to talk to people that had questions about kitchens, and I ran a few errands. By the time I had gone back to pick up Ryan, and we got the boys from Ryan's Mom's house, it was already 6:00pm.
When we go home I told the boys I'd take them on a walk to the park, so that Ryan could catch a much needed nap. Davy's friend Seth, and his older brother Tyler ended up coming with us. While the kids where playing, I tried out Seth's scooter. I'll tell ya, that's a good butt, and thigh work-out. I decided I may have to buy one of those scooters just for a fun exercise. When we got home Ryan was out mowing the lawn instead of taking a nap. The boys are all asleep, and I think I'm not far behind them. It was a busy, busy day!

Those eyelashes are natural, don't you hate how boys get the long eyelashes. The freckles are fake however :) Can't wait to hear about your trip.

Wow, you are awsome at blogging! It's so funny how kids are obsesed with popsicles. You could give them choice of $100 or a popsicle and they would choose the popsicle. Their perspective on life is much simpler. Tell Ryan he does georgeous work. We've been looking at new houses and I havn't seen any wood work that nice. Also, I go places with greasy mommy hair more often than I care to admit.
