Just having fun!

Inner tube floating

While I was mowing the lawn, all of the boys joined Joey in the play pen

I let Danny feed Joey-and this is what the end result was!

Summer is a great time to be a "stay at home mom". This morning we went up to the beach again with my SIL Ashley, Davy, Danny, and Joey. Ashley has stayed over for the past three nights. We are trying to convince her just to move in. It is nice having her here, and the boys love her also. It was a beautiful day for floating in the water. I got Joey to fall asleep in the stroller, and so I was able to float around while Davy enjoyed pushing me out as far as he could. Tonight we enjoyed a nice bike ride at sunset with Oakley and Danny (Davy fell asleep early, and I wasn't about to wake him up:)
I spent a few hours this afternoon during nap time working on primary assignments, and then planning a summer preschool program for the boys. Going to the beach three times a week is fun, but I've decided there are a lot of things they can be learning in between. This next week we will be learning about independence day in preparation for the 4th of July. I'm sure I'll have some great art projects to post next week.
Yesterday I watched Oaklie and Kendall. It was nice having Ashley here to play with them, and to help Ryan watch all of the kids while I went to my first primary presidency planning meeting.
Wednesday night we wanted to roast marshmallows in the fire pit. I called Ryan to bring home some scrap wood for the fire, but he forgot, so I said "lets burn Davy's dresser". It had started to fall apart, and a few of the drawer fronts had fallen off. It was just one that I bought from a garage sale a couple of years ago, and had never liked too much, so we got out a couple of hammers and broke it to pieces. I guess I'll be looking for a new dresser for Davy. For now his clothes are all in a pile in his closet. It was a lot of fun, and the s'mores tasted very yummy.

Wow I missed a lot of posts from you. I hope your new calling goes well and isn't too time-consuming. I love having a calling that doesn't have meetings or activities during the week. I'm enjoying our "spoiled" calling right now - just teaching SS. You will do great as Primary secretary!

Wow you really do love the beach! My kids are constantly begging to go up there. We need to make it a priority this week.

Thanks so much for calling me this morning. I got the dresser. It's nice and big and sturdy. Now comes the hard work of finshing it!

Poor Davey at the dentist! It looks like you go to the same pediatric place on Main street as us. Will has an appt. on Tues - he loves it there.
