Burned out!

Davy loves to build Sand Castles!

It has been a crazy week. Let me just sum it up. Monday- worked, then my 10yr old SIL Mickayla came stayed the night. Tuesday-Primary President came over to teach me how to make her yummy Cinnamon rolls. Ryan has been wanting me to make them, but they never turn out perfect, and they take so long to make. She said she had the best recipe, and offered to show me how she makes them. Needless to say, Ryan was very happy. I guess I'll be making Cinnamon rolls more often (He even brought me home flowers to say thanks-so sweet). After the Cinnamon rolls were done, the mess cleaned up, and lunch made and cleaned up, we went to the library, and the park. Mickayla wanted to stay over another night, so she did. Wednesday we met some friends up at the beach. Julie and her kids, and Sheila and her crew. We ended up staying there for 4 hours, and would have stayed longer if the baby wasn't ready for a nap. We later ran down to the store to get things for our Fourth of July party we were having on Thursday with Davy's preschool friends, and on the way, picked up 9 yr old SIL Cassidy, and 5 yr old Niece Oaklie to stay the night since Mickayla wanted to stay over yet another night. Today-Thursday we hosted a fourth of July party for 4 of Davy's preschool friend, and with our crew here that made 10 kids. It was a little crazy but fun. We ready some books about the fourth of July, did some marble paintings on black paper to look like fireworks, we lit some sparklers (which aren't so cool in the day time), and the kids went crazy with poppers. We played with water balloons, and in the sprinklers, ate red white and blue snacks, and then decorated all of their bikes for a bike parade. It was fun, but I was relieved when it was over. It all went pretty smoothly except when I lost one of the boys while we were decorating bikes. I looked up and he was gone. I panicked, loaded up the car with the rest of the 9 kids, and drove around looking for him. He had ridden his bike home to show his mom his cool decorated bike. I was relieved he was safe! After the party, and lunch, the kids wanted to go back the the reservoir. We went up there and played for a couple of hours, and then came back because the s mom's were picking them up. I think I over do it with the sleepovers. One night turns into three and, and I friend (aunt, or cousin) turns into three. I think we'll keep it to one person at a time from now on for my sanity, I'm exhausted. After everyone had gone home, I mowed the lawn, got dinner ready, and now I just have the house left to clean-it needs it. AND THEN I'M GOING TO BED-Oh, right after I make cookies, and a salad for the fourth of July BBQ we are going to tomorrow after the early morning parade. I sure love my little family, it is so peaceful just the 5 of us!

Sounds like fun! The Satan thing with Davy is the kind of teaching experience I'm really looking forward to having with Wesley someday...hopefully sooner rather than later.

See you in a couple days!
