The carnival is in town!!!

Danny showing me what he did on the roller coaster

This is the only ride Joey got to go on.

Carnival day is a day that my boys look forward to all year. They remember the exact spot the the carnival sets up every year, and as we drive by the empty street they always ask "how long 'till the carnival comes?" Well, it is that time of year again. I hurried home from work, made dinner, and got the boys ready for the night they have been waiting for all year. I ask myself "who needs to spend$2000 going to Disneyland, when you can spend $20 and have just as much fun at the carnival?" It was a lot of fun this year because Danny wasn't afraid to go on the rides. He even went on the roller coaster putting his hands up in the air and laughing the whole time, while I took Davy on the little train ride because he was still too afraid to try the roller coaster. After several rides, and snow cones later, we called it a night. I dropped Davy off at the rodeo with Ryan's mom on our way home. We all had planned on going tonight but Ryan remembered he had a basketball game, and wouldn't miss it-so we gave our tickets away. I guess that it is good that he is loyal to his team, but I wasn't about to brave all three boys by myself in the heat, past their bed times, to go to a rodeo. I probably should have however because Danny was very distraught that he didn't get to go with grandma also. He threw a fit the whole ride home until he started puking all over the car (he pukes whenever he cries really hard). Joey was so tired by then also (8:30 is way past his bedtime, and he doesn't handle that well) he screamed the whole ride home (good thing it was only a 5 minute drive), and then was asleep within seconds of reaching his crib. In the end I was glad I didn't try to go to the rodeo because Ryan just left to pick up Davy, and it is almost 11:00-way to late for my littlest guys! The carnival was plenty of fun for our crew, and now they have another year to look forward to going again.

The rodeo was ok I guess... I blogged about it. I had no idea that it would go till 11pm. Aiden's bed time is 8 and Kaja's is 9. You were way smart to stay home. I didn't take the kids to the carnival this year. It looks like we missed out!

I can't wait to see your boys (and you of course). Are we getting together for mom's birthday?
