The boat ride
Here is a rundown of the past few days. Friday after seeing me enjoy our boating outing, Ryan came home with a big inflatable raft that he bought so that we could row out in the lake and swim. What a sweetie eh? We didn't get a chance to try it out that day because by the time he got home from work, and we got dinner over with it was too late. Instead of going to the lake, I took the kids on a bike ride to the park 'till it got dark, and then we lit fireworks when we got home-it was a late night for our household.
On Saturday we went over to the Harley Davidson grand opening. Ryan's younger brother's band was opening for some big bands there, and we hadn't ever got to see him sing so we couldn't miss it. He was very good, and his bass skills, and stunts are impressive. It was scorching hot, so after the band played, and we had a bite to eat at the yummy restaurant there (Marley's), we hurried home to take the boat out on the lake. By the time we got there, the wind had started blowing pretty hard, so it was more of a workout, then a relaxing boat ride. The kids loved it, we'll have to try it again on a nicer day.
Sunday we went to Ryan's mom's for some yummy BBQ, and the kids played in the water-until it got too rainy, and cold and they had to come in. We then headed up to Ryan's Dad's house for Mikayla's birthday party. They had a houseful, but it was nice to see everyone.
Today, Ryan's dad took the day off for Mikayla's birthday (he took them all fishing), so I worked from 8:30-6:00 by myself. It was a long, hot, and busy day in the office. Joey did pretty good, but he was more than ready to leave by the end of the day. By the time I picked up the kids from Ryan's mom's house and got home it was 7:15. Needless to say by the time I fed, bathed, and got Joey to bed, it was already past everyone elses bedtime, so we all had Oatmeal for dinner, and the kids went to bed. Oaklie is sleeping over again. It is starting to feel like we are missing someone when she is not here. The boys love to have her over, I'll have to talk Jacey into letting me just keep her.
Highlights of the Day: Davy called me at work to tell me his good news. He can now ride a two wheel bike. Ryan taught him this morning when he dropped them off at his Mom's. He had almost had it down about a month ago, until I let go of him to show him that he was doing it, and he was terrified of two wheeled bikes ever since. He was so proud of himself. Now if we can teach him how to swim this summer he will have all of his goals completed for the summer. He wanted to learn how to read, ride a two wheel bike, and swim. Danny's goal (really my goal) was to be potty trained this summer-he did great at that, with most of the summer left to spare. My only task now is to get him to understand that he can't pull it out anywhere outside that he wants to (in front of everyone at the parade, right in the middle of the beach, right next to the outdoor table at the restaurant etc. ) . That boy loves to pee outside! I guess it's better outside than inside right?

Thanks SO much for your offer of help. I will definitely call you if I'm in a pinch. You are TOO nice, Liz! Tomorrow the kids are going to Kara's art class and then up to my mom's. But I will call you for sure next week if things get bad around here. It just seems like I could go into labor at any second. My parents will be gone Aug 5-11 so I won't have any help then if I have the baby. I might have to take you up on your offer if it happens during the day and I have no one to watch them!
You look SO skinny in that pic. I can't wait to get fit again. You do such an awesome job of getting your body back after babies close together. The new boat looks like so much fun! Where do you get all your energy?!
Very fun! Cute pictures, and you're right, Joey really is getting so big!
Aiden LOVES to whip his out in public too. Crazy little boys! The world is their urinal... for now. Gosh I hope he quits getting sick. Every time he starts being nearly done potty training, he gets sick and it all starts over it seems. Today he woke up crying. Here we go again.
