The whole family at the parade
Danny buckaroo fell asleep on the ride down
Our little shade we found-on top of the mt.
Today was the 24th of July! We woke up and got ready for the famous parade. The boys loved it because they got lots of candy. Ryan's Dad brought some extra candy to throw out for the kids throughout the parade, so they ended up getting a lot, which I of course help them eat. After the parade we loaded up the Four Wheelers, and headed out for a drive. Jacey was so nice to offer to watch Joey while we went, and we brought Oaklie with us. It was a lot of fun. The whole ride up the mountain, Oaklie was yelling "I'm too young to die". I wasn't going fast at all, but she was being a little bit over dramatic. I told her that when she is scared she should sing primary songs to make her feel better. The ride down I was entertained by her and Davy singing "Love is spoken here", and "I am a child of God". When they couldn't think of any more primary songs, the theme switched over to Christmas Songs. She is such a cutie, I could just keep her. After we made it back to the truck, we were so hot. We stopped off at Ryan's mom's house to run through the sprinklers, since it was on the way home. They all had a great time cooling off. Tonight Ryan's mom took Danny to the Rodeo, since he was so sad that Davy got to go on Monday, and he didn't. He was so excited, I hope he doesn't get too tired. We had planned on going down to the park to watch fireworks, but Joey is already asleep, and I think we will follow him shortly. It has been a long day in the sun, and we are all drained. I don't know how the pioneers did it! They are amazing. We sure are thankful for all that they sacrificed to come to Utah, because we love it here.
What a cuttie
boating
My little water boys!
Best buds!
Wednesday we went to the reservoir....again. We called our neighbors up and they met us their. The kids had lots of fun, and like always, didn't want to leave. It is so nice to see Davy and Danny enjoying the water. Last year they wouldn't even get in. They liked going to the reservoir because I brought treats, not for the water. Now I can hardly get them to leave when we go.
Ryan came home early yesterday (at 5:00), and a few minutes after he got home, my friend Amy called to invite us to go boating with them. Of course I wanted to go, and Ryan said he would go also. We hurried and made dinner, and got ready to go boating. When we got their it was a little windy, and the lake had pretty big waves, so we couldn't wake board, or tube. We ended up just swimming in the waves. I had a lot of fun. The boys however wouldn't get in the water so they just watched from the boat. After loading the boat back up we all swam a little longer on the shore. Water is so relaxing, I was so glad we got to go.

Looks like you've been busy! I look forward to this morning sickness passing so we can get out and about again. I always love reading your blog for great ideas on what to do around southern utah county. Maybe we'll try the carnival next year when the kids are older...and we're not in the middle of a huge mess trying to remodel our shanty. ;)
"I'm too young to die!" I can just see her face and hear her voice... Never a dull moment eh? Lol
The 100 mile hike is going to be ridiculously great. It is just me, a junior counselor, and 7 1 & 15 year old girls.
You and the kids are always full of adventure - love it. The boating sounds so fun. I haven't done that since college. We've never gone to the 24th parade. Is it just on Main Street in Spanish Fork? We had rodeo tickets for last Monday but we didn't go. Our kids were too tired by 8pm.
Thanks for your comments. I am on semi-bedrest so I'm trying to keep up with the kids but we're not doing much else! Just a few more weeks...
Liz, I love all the posts on your blog! Your family does so many fun things and it is great to see all the pictures you take. Your boys are such cuties! I can't believe Davy is reading - that is really amazing! Your summer sure sounds like a lot of fun with carnivals, camping, boating, fishing, sprinklers, bbq's, etc. Your boys sure are lucky to have such a fun mom!
