Tonight we attended Ryan's Mom/Grandma's annual Christmas party. It was a little early for a Christmas party, but it was the only available time that Santa could come. We spent the morning making some goodies to bring. We made a fruit platter, chocolate drizzled pretzels, and some yummy truffles (My sister Micheline gave me the yummy recipe). The boys loved helping me drizzle the chocolate, and coat the truffles in chocolate. I ended up with chocolate covered boys by the time we were done. At the party we enjoyed some good food and company, but the highlight of the night of course was Santa Clause. He called each of them up one by one and after asking them what they wanted for Christmas, gave them each a goodie bag. We sang lots of Christmas songs, and had a gift exchange. It was fun to start the Christmas season off early. We've been listening to Christmas music since the day after Halloween. My boys love the lights, music, and yummy treats. Davy doesn't think he can wait 'till Christmas, and has asked me not to bring it up because he s to even think about it because it it too far away for him. Kids make Holiday so much fun. I hope we can continue to enjoy the Christmas season with the right focus. I plan on keeping the gifts simple this year, and enjoying the true meaning of Christmas. We are excited to celebrate in Christ's birth, and to enjoy one another as a family. We all love Santa, but we try to keep in mind that he is just one of Jesus' helpers, and wants to help Jesus share in his birthday joy.

Oh my YUMMY!!!! Great job on the treats. I wish I had a Christmas party to go to so I could make those truffles. If I made them 'just because', mom would throw a fit about how she is tempted by them & how they will make her fat.
I miss the boys very very much already & you too!
whoa, looks so good! must find excuse to make those.
if you read this today (dec. 1st) you gotta do some online shopping!

Wow, you're on the ball! I don't know if we'll even be able to set up Christmas this year with all the construction going on at our place. Glad you had such a fun time!
I have been wearing the thermal you gave me since I left your house. I bet the hoody feels neglected, but I've got a new #1.
Thanks again.
