As a primary presidency we had a CRAZY idea to show our appreciation to all of the primary workers by bringing their families dinner. We had them sign up for one of three days when we would be making chicken tortilla soup, chicken noodle soup, or white chicken chile. Today was the chicken tortilla soup day. We delivered food to 24 families (129 people). we spent a lot of the day making soup, rolls, and brownies. It was all running smoothly till 5:00 came, and I had to deliver my dinners to families. My kids didn't want to be in the car, and they screamed the whole time. Danny cried so hard that he threw up all over himself (he does that if he ever cries hard). It is nice to have them all asleep. I love nap time and bed time. I love my kids, but they are so cute when they are all asleep! I just got home from a walk with my friend Amy. We try to go every night that our husband are home to watch the kids. It is a nice break. I am lucky to have such a good friend so close.
Every since we got the wii for Joey's birthday, Davy has become a major gamer. He wakes up wanting to play wii, and goes to bed begging to play one more game. I have to make him earn wii points by reading books, or doing homework pages. He wakes up every morning, gets dressed, and starts reading his books to earn up lot of wii time. it is nice that Danny can play it too, they play well together too.
Danny has become an independent dresser. He insists on picking his own clothes, and dressing himself. It is fun to see what he picks out to wear, and just how he puts it on. Some days it's pj top, with jeans, or his jeans are on backwards, and his shirt inside out. I try not to say anything unless we are going out in public (which lucky for him isn't very often)
Joey is such a funny boy. He has started saying some new words lately. A couple of his favorites are Thank you (every time I give him anything, or when I get him out of his crib), and WOW (whenever something drops, our when he hears a loud noise). He is so happy, and has a contagious smile.
Ryan continues to be busy at work (I remind myself that it is a blessing that he stays busy). He plays on a city basketball leauge, and got to go scout buffalo with his dad and uncle last weekend. He is a hard worker, and we are grateful for all he does for our family. He is also a great dad. The boys love it when he comes home! So there we are, same ol' same ol'. I couldn't ask for more.
Oh, a few new things I learned this week:
Dried beans are easy to make, cheap, and oh so yummy. You can also make cream of chicken soup out of ground white beans, and bulion. I am excited to try it. It will be great to know for food storage.

What a fun catch up. Sorry I couldn't go walking, I really wanted to, but have been pretty miserable. I want you to share your recipe for the cream of chicken with beans. I have been trying to find it, but haven't been able too. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks
Oh my...that was a huge task. I don't even think I could attempt that whole dinner thing & I don't have three active kids to tend to either. Hopefully Davy had a lot of wii points to use up so he could keep himself occupied while you cooked.
Mom is dying to get that cream of chicken recipe, as are many others I'm sure. I think that should probably be your next post.
Hope you have a more relaxing day today. We cannot wait to see you in a little over a week.
Agree about you posting the recipe. Maybe you should have dropped off the boys at my house after all since I didn't help deliver! Hope it wasn't too much stress. Needless to say, all y'all better have some dedicated workers after all of your efforts!!! :)
