A DAY IN THE KITCHEN

Another busy day come and gone. We had preschool again today. Along with my niece that I watch on Thursdays we had 8 kids. It was a busy household. We made a volcano out of Baking soda and vinegar (which the boys thought was the coolest thing they'd ever seen), we talked about pilgrims coming to America. We made mashed potatoes, and edible fruit turkeys, read stories, sang songs, and just had a lot of fun. Davy was my little chef today in the kitchen. He helped me make dinner, we tried out a new whole wheat bread recipe (which was a keeper), and then I told him we could make a desert of his choice for after dinner (I was hoping he would choose peach cobbler). He knew right away that he wanted to make dough-nuts. I don't like dough-nuts too much, and haven't made them since I was probably 12, but we made dough-nuts anyway. I had to give most of them away because I having junk in the house because more often then not, I end up eating it. It was fun spending time with Davy today. He has whined a lot less these past couple of weeks. IT IS SO NICE!!!

Sounds like a lot of work for preschool, but I'm sure those kids LOVE it. What I wouldn't give for your energy right now. ;)
