Sundays are great, most of the time!

I have a lot of little things to report today- so bear with me. Sundays are always eventful. You would think I would get at least one day each week to sleep past 6:30.....but no! Sure enough like clock work 6:30 Davy climbs in our bed, soon followed by Danny, and then Joey wakes up. It wouldn't be so bad if they would just lay there and chill, but Davy is whining for breakfast (or Dinner as he still calls every meal). Danny wants chochate (chocolate milk), and Joey, well Joey is a squirm. I finally give in by 7:00 so that at least Ryan can sleep in. After breakfast is over, and I've made preparations for dinner at Ryan's mom's house, the house is a mess, and I'm busy cleaning up. Today after Ryan go up, and I put the baby down for a nap, I went on a bike ride. I listened to church music on my MP3, and rode down by the river bottoms. It was so peaceful, and beautiful. there is a road lined with trees on both sides, and the river runs on the side. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, I was in heaven, and I actually was able to enjoy the words of the church music. When I came home the boys came up with their dolls (I bought them dolls before Joey was born so we could practice having a new baby in the house). When I asked them what their babies names were, they both had named them Joey. They wanted me to wrap the dolls up like I do to the baby when he sleeps. Ryan didn't think it was too cute, but I did, so I had to take a picture because they hardly ever play with dolls.
I told Ryan that I wanted to be sure to get to church before the sacrament this week because last week we missed it by a few minutes. He got ready, and to avoid the big fight we have with Davy every week when it's time to get dressed for church, I told him that the first one dressed got to give all of the other people a "lobster" (if your from my family you know what this is- for everyone else it is something my Dad used to do to get us moving- a pinch on the back of the legs. He even had names for them. Larry the Lobster was the biggest lobster. My kids know that when I tell them to do something or the lobster will get them, they get moving.) Davy rushed to get his clothes on, his hair fixed, and his shoes on so he could give me and Ryan a lobster, and we acted like it hurt, while he giggled so hard. When we got to church, the boys acted like we filled them with sugar and too little sleep (which may have been partly true). It was so embarrassing. Davy had to get a drink, then go to the bathroom. Then Danny thought he had to go too. They both talked too loud, and sat too little. Ryan took Davy out and gave him a firm talking to, and then he was a little better. I decided we are going to play "church" for an hour each day to get used to how we should act. We will sit quietly on the couch, look at books. I'll give them back rubs, we'll only whisper, and if anyone has to go to the bathroom, they will walk slowly with their arms folded. Sounds fun eh? We'll see how it works. Oh that reminded me of when I was little, by Dad would sometimes sit during church with his head down, eyes closed, and hands clasped together like he was praying or really listening to the speaker. I never wanted to disrupt this deep spiritual meditation. It was only until I saw Ryan doing that today, and saw that he was really asleep that I figured this trick out. I caught ya Dad!
After church we went over to Ryan's mom's house like we always do. She has the most amazing yard. The kids are in heaven there, and it was a beautiful day to enjoy the yard. she had the big inflatable water slide set up, and sprinkler set up for the kids. My kids didn't play in the water, but enjoyed the sand box. I especially enjoyed the hammock- I love hammocks! She made her yummy chicken enchiladas, and juicy watermelon (my favorite fruit). Jacey made a good batch of homemade salsa and chips. I brought salad, and jello. It was all too good, but it doesn't end there. Ryan's little sister had her birthday party up at his dad's house at 7:00 so we went up there. The kids played outside, we had yummy strawberry shortcake and ice cream. I was stuffed from dinner, but you know me, I made room :) As we were leaving a bunch of deer and elk showed up behind their house so all of the guys were out there with the binoculars watching them. Grandpa Dave even let Danny borrow his binoculars for the car ride home. Once we got home the boys fell right to sleep. It was a long day! We are all exhausted. I hope everyone else had a good day also. Goodnight! Oh- I heard that my brother in law Mussie was set apart as bishop in his ward in CA. He is the nicest man you'd ever meet. He'll make an amazing bishop. I feel bad for my sister Kirsten however taking 4 busy s to sacrament all alone. I'll be praying for you Kirsten, you're amazing! Love ya all!
