Danny and Davy playing Play dough -Joey showing his pride
at his new ability of pulling himself up in his crib
Whoever doesn't go to garage sales- you are missing out! I find the best deals at garage sales, it is like a treasure hunt. We have some great garage sales around here. Today my friend Amy called at 8:00 to see if I was going. I probably wouldn't have because I was so tired from a long night with the baby, but decided to go drive around to see if there was anything good. I didn't think there would be much today because it has been raining so much this week. I picked Amy up, and we hit a few sales. I try not to buy anything unless I need it. I wouldn't say that I "needed" anything that I bought, but we had a good time. I bought a few house decorations, a few items of clothing for Joey, a cute little backpack for Danny(that he loves, and looks so cute sporting with all of his favorite toys stuffed inside), a kids pool that has a basketball hoop in it, and a bunch of cookie cutters. i got all of that for about $12.oo, what a steal eh? When I got home, the boys were so excited about the cookie cutters because they have been wanting to make play dough lately. We cleaned up the kitchen from breakfast, and whipped up some play dough, and they were busy for a couple of hours with their new creations. After the play dough mess was cleaned up, we went outside to clean up the yard. We got out the kid pools and scrubbed them clean with soapy water to get them ready for summer. We then went on a bug hunt, and found a whole new family of potato bugs for the bug houses we bought at Walmart yesterday( I'm sure we'll have a whole city soon). During the bug hunt, a few neighbor kids came and played for a few hours, and by then it was time for dinner. Ryan watched the boys while I went to the garage sales, then he worked in the yard, went golfing, and then went to work for a while. Like usual, nothing too exciting ever goes on at our house, but we try to have fun, and enjoy each day. I'm glad that the weather is getting a bit nicer lately. I tried to go on a bike ride yesterday. I got about a mile and a half away, and had to turn back because it was SO cold and windy. My ears were hurting so bad from the freezing wind. I think I'll try again tomorrow morning. Well I'm exhausted. Joey was up all night. I probably got up 15-20 times last night, and then he was awake for good at 6:00. I don't know what wrong with him. He started to pull himself up in his crib and stands up. He likes to wake up, and stand up in his crib. He hasn't figured out how to get back down without falling so he'll start to cry when he gets tired of standing. I'm crossing my fingers that he sleeps well tonight. Wish us luck! Goodnight.
