What a day!
It was a great day today! I didn't have to work today since I switched days this week. The day started off feeling a little lazy. I didn't get out of bed 'till about 8:00 although of course I had been up for much longer than that. Something about having to get up several times in the night with kids makes mornings rough. After getting everyone breakfast and Ryan's lunch packed I decided to get a good start to the day by doing a "speed clean". If I set my mind to it (and if Joey is napping) I can clean my house in an hour. I rush and try to clean each room in ten minutes or less. Some rooms take 2 minutes, and some take all ten or more. but it feels good when it is all done. If only it would stay clean for longer than an hour. After cleaning, and laundry, and lunch I was able to spend some great time with my kids. We read some books, did some school work, and made cinnamon rolls, and got dinner started. This is a typical day at our house. We usually don't go anywhere, and most days Davy has a friend over to play-today included. At about 3:00 I had my friends kids for a few hours which made 7 kids running around. It was a little crazy fixing dinner holding a baby (some of the time 2 babies thought they needed to be held-when Joey would get a little jealous that I wasn't holding him). We got dinner over with, cleaned up, got jammies on (although some days Danny insist on wearing his all day-which I don't mind if we aren't going anywhere)had Family Home Evening, and got kids to bed. That is when "my time" starts. I try to not spend "my time" just doing housework. I took our Dog for a run. It was great. I am getting back in shape, and now think I could do a 5K. This is a typical day at our house. That is why I find myself going a week or more without blogging. Not much happens here. I like it that way too. It's nice to have laid back days! Now I've got to go and plan preschool for tomorrow. That may not be a laid back day when we have 7 boys (mine included) running the show.

So funny that your blog get'er done day is followed by a post about how much you enjoy lazy days. :) I LOVE days when I can stay home and go nowhere ... but unfortunately that rarely happens with a teenager and 2 kids in school! Enjoy it while you can!!!
You out of shape? I'd LOVE to be as "out of shape" as you. :)
I wish I lived closer! And ditto on the "out of shape" there Lizzy Liz. But you'd be proud of me. I've been going to the gym every night and have been working myself to the "core" literally. =) I'm hoping to add a mile to my run every week.
Sounds like the good life to me! I love lazy days with my kids. In fact, I now cherish those days. Unfortunately, it took me having to work a lot to appreciate it them. Kind of the story of my life... :)
