Swimming in the winter???
Today I thought I'd be nice and take my kids swimming at a nearby indoor pool. #1 I don't care for indoor swimming ( I feel the whole point of swimming is to cool off, and get some sun). #2 This indoor pool is always freezing. Today it was posted that the water was colder than normal. Needless to say, we lasted about an hour until the kids were crying to go home because they were too cold. I think we'll hold off 'till summer for future swimming excursions. There were some highlights of the day however. #1 Ryan dedicated his day at work to building our new bathroom vanities which we should get installed next week, and he will be getting our granite counter tops for them on Monday yeah!!! #2 We enjoyed some insanely good healthy frozen yogurt-it's my favorite treat. For all of you who live by me, you MUST try the frozen yogurt at the health food store next to K-Mart. It is soft serve, and very yummy. I always buy a little Gingersnap granola from the bulk food section to sprinkle on top-it's heavenly!! Oakley has been staying with us while her parents are on a trip. It has been fun to have a little gal around the house. #3 I cant forget the luxury I enjoyed of getting to jog this morning. I love getting a chance to get my run in before Ryan leaves for work. It is pretty cold, and very windy in the mornings here, but It is so nice to start the day off with some "me" time, even if my calves were burning from the 6 miles I put in yesterday! #4 Oh, and I got to go to Reams where they have amazing produce deals. I bought bananas, pineapples, apples, oranges, grapes, blueberries, all very cheap! I must say it was a pretty good Saturday.

SIX MILES?!!!
oh. my. goodness. you are my hero.
Not all at once mind you. 3 in the morning by myself, and 3 at night with Amy.
Would you quit making the rest of us feel like slackers. ;-)
What a great day to begin and end your day.
Did you go to the Provo Reams?...without visiting us!-Marae
I am dying to go to that fro yo place!
No, not the Provo Reams, I don't get that far just to buy groceries-sorry!
Hey,
Thanks again for watching the kids Friday and for the nummy dinner you sent home with Scott. Halle was able to come home with us yesterday, which was a great blessing. We didn't know if it was going to happen or not until right before we were discharged. Anyway, we had the dinner that night. I'd love to get the recipe for the Taco Soup, rolls, and gourmet brownies!!!
Also, Scott and I would love to go on a cruise, although there's no way we could in the next couple months with the new little one. However, please reserve at least one of the days (if not two or three) that you're gone for the boys to come over and hang out (they're welcome to spend the night too, although we only have one room they could sleep in. Would Joey mind sleeping with the older two?). I know Ryan's mom is amazing at watching her grandkids, but please let me steal a couple days. ;) Just let me know when!
I've spent the past 4 days in bed. we've got the flu SO BADLY here! =( I'm living vicariously through your blog today. I hope you don't mind. So there's no way we are going to Crista's tomorrow. You all have fun.
Brrrr that swimming sounds cold. I am definitely going to try that yogurt now. I always go in there to get our vitamins and such.
I'm jealous you're getting new vanities and granite. You'll have to take pictures when they're installed.
Your workouts are sounding awesome! I am trying to build up more endurance...I can only go to about 2.8 miles before I want to stop. But jogging twice a day is a good method. I remember doing that when trying to get in shape for a half marathon many years ago.
Hey - how do I sign up for the 5K in May? I tried to google it but didn't find anything.
