pool fun
I realized a few days ago that summer is winding down. There are only a couple more weeks that we will be able to go bask in the sun at the beach, or play in the sprinklers. On Tuesday, I broke down and took the kids to the pool. I had heard it was a lot of fun, and Ryan's little sister really wanted to go. I took a couple of them, Brock, Oaklie, Davy, and Danny (Cindy watched Joey so that I could play with the kids in the water) I've never been a big fan of public pools. I don't like the crowds, or trying to keep track of my kids in the hords of others. The pool was OK, although I thought it was dumb that they designed a giant water bucket that would fill up and dump over the little kids slide area every few minutes. Danny was terrified of it. It about drowns you as it knocks you over if you are anywhere near it's path. I thought it was a bad design for a little kids play area, but besides that the kids enjoyed it. I definitely prefer the beach over the public pool any day. It is nice to be able to bask in the sun for a minute while the kids play instead of worrying if they will get lost, stolen, or knocked over by the giant bucket. The next day we returned to the beach and enjoyed the outdoor setting, and the cool water. Later that night we met Ryan's family over at Marley in the Harley dealership for his mom's birthday dinner. When I told the boys were we were going, Danny got very excited and said "can we get pop?" (they don't ever get pop, so they think it's a real treat). Danny was so excited the whole drive over. They treated everyone to a yummy dinner. Crista still looks as young as ever. We are grateful for her, and all that she does for us. My kids are lucky to live so close to her because she is a WONDERFUL grandma. We have been getting ready for the deer hunt. The boys can't wait to get down and dirty. It should be a fun time.

Was this at the new payson pool? Or did you guys go to Provo? We've liked going to Provo but havent gone to the Payson one yet.
Yikes, I guess I don't have to ask if you liked the pool. ;)
Wes was scared of the bucket too at first, but now it's a game, he'll wait until it dumps and then run and go down all the slides until it dumps again. We also LOVE all the different areas and all the different things to do. Wes will romp around with his little friends and be sea monsters, or jump off the sides into the shallow water, or play with the pumps, or the sprinklers...I think you're just a beach babe Liz. ;) Made for the beach, that's you!!!
