We escaped to St George last week and had a nice relaxing week of fun-thus all of the pictures. We got there late Thursday night so that Davy could wake up in St. George on his birthday (that is were he wanted to go for his birthday-it just hapend to work out for all of us). Ryan's Dad and family went down at the same time but came home Sunday. It was a nice sunny day on Friday. I got to go for a nice run without my earmuffs, and gloves for a change. When I came home we did a scavenger hunt for Davy's presents. I had clues for him to follow to find his gifts. He thought that was fun. We later went to the famous Spin park (only famous if you have found it, it is well hidden from the public view but will be visited over and over once you find it). We all had a blast spinning on all of the contraptions until we couldn't stand it any longer. I felt like I had been on a horrible carnival ride after we were done. On Saturday we went hiking at the "little narrows". I was happy that I could still fit through the small claustrophobic that leads you through the giant rock hill. The kids loved climbing on the red rock. We met my Sister and some of her kids there. They loved playing with their cousins. On Sunday we held our own little church meeting with Ryan's family since I was the only one that packed church clothes, and Joey had been running a high fever, and had a horrible cough and runny nose. After "church", we walked to a park and played for a while. The kids loved playing in the hot tub and Ryan's grandmas, and as always enjoyed having lots of aunts to keep them entertained. On Monday we met my Sister, and her three youngest boys at McDonalds to play, and then I took the boys over for Dinner and FHE at her house that night while Ryan stayed with Joey. I brought over the game Boggle and it was a big hit. Tuesday and Wednesday were beautiful days. We went up to an outdoor pool and basked in the sun while the kids swam. It was heaven for me. I got my first shoulder burn of the year-I was quiet happy about it. Ryan played golf 4 times and hit the driving range once. Between all of the golf, sun bathing, and swimming, it was a greatly needed vacation. On our way home we stopped at the St. George temple. We want to see how many temples we could get a family picture in front of. We looked super grubby, and had to do a self timer on the camera but we got the shot! It was a week of some sun, fun activities, family time, and way too much HTV, but it is nice to be home!

Did Davy get a new best friend...the elephant?
Oh, the greatest park ever! The twirly Whirly park.
You need to meet Marae's boy.
Yay twirly whirly park!
Jealous of the burn.
that sounds like the nicest vacation. you did look tan today! you must have a lot of family down there. st. george is such a nice little escape for warm weather!
cool idea about the temple pics. we might have to do that too.
I'm so glad you can spend some time with your sis. Do Jaxson and Danny Play well together and soon Joey and Brigham can be friends.
So much fun! I'll have to check out a few places when I go to visit my bro Ryan down there this summer!
Good luck w/the temple shots. That's fun. I'm currently trying to get Tyler's "flat Stanley" project in front of various temples. So far we have Tokyo and Switzerland ... and hoping for a few more. :)
