Davy's first soccer game and first day of school

We had an exciting week last week. Davy started Kindergarten on Wednesday. He has the best teacher, and several of his friends are in his class. He is so excited to get to finally be in school. He only got to go once last week because we had Marae's wedding on Thursday, and lots of family activities on Friday with some of his cousins. Davy also started soccer last week. Ryan is couching along with one of Ryan's friends who also has a boy on the team. The games have been fun to watch, but like any kindergarten sports team can get frustrating to watch. Ryan is trying to teach Davy to be more aggressive and not to take turns kicking when there are several people in a group trying to get the ball moving. Davy really enjoys it, and is learning a lot. We are excited to see him learn and grow in all of his new adventures.

Seriously, how do you teach them that aggression?!? Here their whole lives we've taught them not to be aggressive, and now we want them to be?

Whenever my kids are goalie I have to stand by them to remind them to pay attention. We have the funniest pics of them goofing off. They're getting better now, though ...

I love new adventures! First days of school are always so fun! I hope things start to pick up on the academic side of things though so he doesn't get bored!
