This year has been especially busy with Primary, and getting things ready for the new year. I have put many things on the back burner (namely Christmas letters, and family pictures) to be able to not stress out too much over all I have to do for Primary. I wanted all of my family and friends to know how much I love and appreciate them, even if I didn't get a letter sent out to them this year. I thought I'd fill everyone in via blogging and email this year.
This year has brought us many blessings and memories. Depending on who you ask it has either been a very busy year, or a very laid back year. Ryan has been blessed with so many great Kitchen jobs this year, and has worked very long hours most days this year to keep up with all of the work that he has been blessed with. He has wanted to take all of the work that he can handle due to economic fears, but has yet to feel the effects of the "recession". He is a very hard worker, and so talented in many aspects. We are grateful for all that he does for our family, and enjoy the time we do get to spend with him. He is a wonderful father to our three boys, and I couldn't ask for more in a husband. As far as play, Ryan has gone hunting a few times this year, but didn't find any big game "big enough" to shoot. He has enjoyed playing basketball, soccer, and softball this year on city leagues.
I on the other hand, would tell you that this year has been very laid back. With Ryan working so much, we tend to stick close to home. Our boys running errands of any kind so our outings usually only consist of going to the Library once a week, and on occasional trip to a park or play area. This past summer we spent a lot of time up at the reservoir by our house playing in the water. It was a fun place to cool off, and we loved that it wasn't very crowded. We are all sad that the warm weather has left us, and we are counting down the days until we can return to the "beach". Besides keeping up with three busy boys, I have kept myself busy as the primary secretary in our ward, working once a week at Allstate, and organizing and team teaching a co-op preschool in our neighborhood with some of Davy's friends. I truly enjoy being a wife and mother. Some of my greatest blessings, I discover daily in my children. I love being able to stay home with them. Some days I think that I want five more kids, but other days I wonder if I can handle the three that we have. I am grateful for the blessings of being a mother, and a wife. I thank my father in heaven daily for the trust that he has put in my to send these precious children to our home. I hope that I can teach them all that he would want them to learn.
Davy is 4 (soon to be 5). He is such a smart boy. He has picked up reading very well, and continues to impress me with all that he knows. He has started to love to write letters lately. I love reading his cute letters with the words spelled out phonetically. The last letter went something like this: Mom, I luv uoo. Uoo are so bootiful, and coot. Uoo ar a good Mom. Dis is al I wont to say. Luv Davy. Davy has became a real gamer. When he was three he started playing guitar hero, and passed the game on easy before he was 4. Now he is into playing Wii, and computer games. Davy is very social, and thinks he has to have a friend over everyday, but he also plays great with his little brothers.
Danny is 3 now, but thinks he is as old as his big brother. Danny is a great big brother to Jeoy. He is always looking out for him, and making him laugh. Danny loves candy, chocolate milk, playing cars, video games, baseball, or just wrestling with his brothers. He is very easy going. He is such a joy to have in our home, and we love those cute chubby cheeks of his!
Joey is one now. He is a very busy and curious boy. He has never liked to play with Toys. He prefers a cell phone, remote, or anything that has buttons to push. He says several words but also has picked up some sign language also. His favorite word in sign language is eat. He is a great eater, sleeper, and a pretty easy baby. We love his big smile, and how he makes us laugh. His brothers have made him tough, he rarely cries when he falls, or gets hurt. We are so lucky to have him in our family.
Well that about sums it up for the Jensen family. We are all still healthy and happy and we hope the same to all of you. We are grateful for this time of year we have to celebrate the birth of Christ, and for his atonement for all of us. He is a great example in our lives. We will continually strive to be more like him, for it is the best way to honor his life and sacrifice. We hope your celebration is wonderful, and your families are well. Lots of Love, The Jensens
