Ryan cleaning his doves, and Davy cleaning up after his mud fun
Mud fun (and this is just when I first noticed the mud discovery-
it was a lot worst the next time I checked on them)
As a mom of 4 boys ( I'll include Ryan into this number) I try not to let trivial things upset me. Yesterday I walked outside to check on Davy and Danny in the backyard only to find them covered in mud. They were just making some mud pies they excliamed. I was good not to get mad about the muddy clothes, and mud covered body (not to mention all of the outside toys coated in mud). I had to think that I had to let them enjoy being boys. Getting dirty is all part of the fun. I added to the fun by giving them a soapy bucket of water to wash all of their toys off, then ran them a warm, soapy bath. Ryan got to go Dove hunting yesterday. He had a blast. He is so good to call and ask if it is all right, even though I tell him time and time again, that he doesn't have to get my permission to hunt. I know it is something that he loves to do, so unless he is neglecting his family by doing it, I'll always be fine with it. He went with a friend on some private land. There are doves here that have no limit as far as the number you can shoot because of an extreme overpopulation. He came home with about 40 doves. He is giving a lot away, but I'm sure we'll have a few yummy dove with tauted vegi dinners here in the near future. He said it was the most fun that he has ever had hunting birds. I'm glad he is able to sneak some fun into his busy work schedule.

What a good wife/mom you are. Once again, Scott will be jealous!! Looks like all of your boys have had a little fun lately.
You're so good to let the little things fly. I need to work on that. :)
What a woman you are. I am not going to show David this, he would be Jealous like Scott. You are so good about letting things not get to you, at least you show it on the outside all of the time. I have always admired that in you. Hope you have a great week.
Yeah, these hardworking men of ours need time off sometimes. Scott just bought his ticket to fly down to Vegas for three days to go golfing at the end of September with his brother. I'm excited for him!
Hey Liz!!! It would be crazy to have three little boys. I'm sure I'll be there soon. Let's get together soon! Steph
Love your last few entries and all the adorable pictures. Isn't blogging such fun?! Thank goodness for cameras to capture kids as they grow. I am laughing so hard at Danny's comment at the dentist. And the scripture interpretation!
My kids constantly make mud outside too - drives me insane - but they love it above all other activities. I agree - sad that summer is going but so nice to enjoy Fall. When it starts snowing I'm going to want to move.
Thanks sooo much for that yummy dinner last week! I keep meaning to bring back your bowls when we go on a walk. Probably tomorrow I will stop by with them.
