This year we have been blessed with some great harvest. We grew a big garden at Ryan's mom's house and grew everything you could imagine. Yesterday the kids picked the pumpkins, and now they can't wait to paint and carve them. We have also canned a lot this year. The boys have loved helping peel the apples with the nifty apple corer, and strain the apples, peaches, and pears in the fruit strainer. Ryan has also been a big helper when I am up late into the night trying to get it all done. We canned Peaches, Pears, Apples (for making yummy apple crisp), green beans, meat, plum jam, raspberry jam, strawberry peach jam, salsa, and we will still do some apple sauce. We were very blessed in getting all of our fruits and veggies for free this year. What a blessing, to have so many things in our food storage. We picked the last things from our garden yesterday. It was a lot of work to keep it watered, weeded, and picked-but Ryan did most of it. He would make a great farmer!
Oh, the picture of my pantry is to show it while it is organized. Maybe it will remind me to keep it that way. That was a productive day.

Wow! Way to be! It sounds like you have been very busy preserving all sorts of yummie stuff for your family. I'm sure you'll be blessed for doing so. That's a beautiful quilt, hopefully you'll get your girl! When do you find out for sure?
Your pantry looks great! There's something about working so hard and then having it organized too! Great job! I still need to get some of your recipes!
